ROME: The Vatican for the first time released a document in Arabic on Saturday, publishing a speech of the Vatican UNESCO representative which addresses scientific and ethical issues.
The publication on the Vatican's website follows a statement by the Vatican on Friday saying that Christians and Muslims should work together to fight terrorism, adding that "ongoing dialogue" between the two religions was "more necessary than ever."
A speech on "faith and reason" in Germany on Sep 12, in which the Pope commented on Islam and violence, had caused a wave of outrage in parts of the Muslim world.
