Russia will help build Vietnam's first nuclear power station in ten years, the head of Russia's atomic agency said, after agreement was reached on Sunday during the visit of President Dmitry Medvedev to Hanoi.
"It is realistic (to build the power station by 2020)," he told journalists on Sunday.
"It is a two-reactor station."
He declined to provide the price, but said a firm contract could be signed next year.
Russia has been actively pursuing deals to build nuclear power plants abroad. It recently completed the reactor at Iran's first nuclear power plant and signed a deal to build a powerful two-reactor station in Venezuela earlier this month.
