Jared Baker has confirmed that, his father has successfully used the wheel once for a date night, and it drastically sped up the decision-making process

Jared Baker, a 20-year-old college student from Georgia, USA, has been receiving some fame on social media, thanks to his ingenious dad.

Baker lives with his father Jerry, and says they’re the best of friends, describing it as “two buddies living together”. “We joke around a lot,” he told BuzzFeed in an interview. A little over a week ago, the two of them were joking about how hard it is to decide where to eat, when going out on a date.

A few days later, Jerry received a package in the mail and presented his grand idea to his son Jared, claiming it would solve their dinner date problems. Jerry had printed out the names of places his girlfriend and he loved to eat at the most, and stuck them on different sections of a toy spinning wheel. That way, whenever they decided to go out, all he had to do was to spin the ‘Wheel-of-Food’ and let it pick a restaurant for them, without any hassle.

Jared subsequently posted the image online, and the Internet absolutely loved it. His Twitter post received close to 10,000 likes and almost 5,000 retweets in just five days, with commenters stating how much each of them wanted to copy the idea. “This would remedy 40 per cent of the headache around my place,” said a Twitter user. Jared has confirmed that, his father has successfully used the wheel once for a date night, and it drastically sped up the decision-making process.

Not to be outdone by his son’s fame, Jerry too posted the photo on Facebook, racking up over 1,71,000 shares in even less time. Meanwhile, Jared said his father loves all the attention they’re getting. Indecisiveness has never been so rewarding.
