Bobby Brown was shocked and shattered as the news of his ex-wife Whitney Houston's death broke.
Brown choked back tears while performing with his band New Edition in Mississippi on Saturday night hours after announcement of Houston's death, reports contactmusic.com.
"First of all, I want to tell you that I love you all. Second, I would like to say, I love you, Whitney. The hardest thing for me to do is to come on this stage," Brown told the crowd and then left the stage to compose himself.
