Two tree-covered blocks of flats are coming up in Italy in what is being described as the first ‘forest in the sky’. The 365 ft and 260 ft towers consisting of 27 floors have been designed by Stefano Boeri and are called Bosco Verticale, meaning ‘vertical forest’.The forest includes 730 trees, 5,000 shrubs and 11,000 ground plants, which will be tended by horticulturalists. The trees are expected to grow up to 30 ft.These plants will together be equal to one hectare of forest, Sky news quoted people behind the project, as saying.
