Yemen's armed forces have clashed with Shi'ite rebels in the north, killing 20, state media reported on Sunday, a day after the insurgents accepted the government's terms for a ceasefire.
Yemeni soldiers fought rebels in the northern provinces of Malahidh and Saada and those killed included a leader responsible for training, the September 26 Defence Ministry online newspaper said.
There has been no official response to the ceasefire offer the rebels made on Saturday.
