The government abolished the post of ADGP (state crime records bureau) and clubbed its functions with those of ADGP (technical services)
A few days after transferring 21 IAS officers, the state government ordered the transfer of 31 IPS officers late on Monday night, and also promoted five of them.
A notification said that Tirth Raj, DGP (law & order), Gandhinagar, has been appointed as DGP (human rights). The postings of Mohan Jha, DGP (administration), and TS Bisht, DGP (prison) were swapped.
Sanjay Srivastava, ADGP (technical services) has been moved to law & order.
KK Ojha, ADGP (training) has been made ADGP (Prevention of atrocities on SC/ST). He replaces PB Gondia, who is now Director of civil defense and home guards.
VM Pargi, ADGP (inquiries) has been transferred to technical services. The government abolished the post of ADGP (state crime records bureau) and clubbed its functions with those of ADGP (technical services). KLN Rao, special CP (sector 1) in Ahmedabad replaces Pargi.
Ajay Tomar has been given proforma promotion as ADGP and appointed in CID (crime). Shamsher Singh, ADGP (SCRB) has been transferred to Armed Unit.
Manoj Agarwal, secretary of home department was appointed as Rajkot CP in place of Anupam Singh Gehlot, who is now the Vadodara CP. Vadodara CP Manoj Shashidhar is now IG of Panchmahal range, while Hasmukh Patel, special director, ACB, has been appointed as MD of Police Housing Corporation.
Neerja Gotru, special commissioner (traffic) of Ahmedabad, has been appointed as ADGP (monitoring cell) of Gandhinagar. JR Mothaliya, DIG (prison), Ahmedabad, has been appointed as additional commissioner (traffic).
NN Komar, IG (P&M) has been appointed as IG of Bhavnagar range in place of Amit Vishwakarma, who is now Joint CP (sector 1), Ahmedabad. S Pandia Rajkumar, IG of Junagadh range, has been shifted to Surat. He replaces GS Malik who goes on central deputation. SG Trivedi is new Junagadh range IG.
Khursheed Ahmedabad, joint director of civil defense in Ahmedabad, has been appointed as GSRTC ED. Piyush Patel, Bhuj range IG, has been shifted to Armed Unit, while DB Vaghela is the new Bhuj IG.
Brajesh Kumar Jha, IG of Panchmahal range, has been appointed as secretary in the home department. SM Khatri, IG of Coastal security & intelligence, is the new joint CP in Rajkot, replacing DS Bhatt, who is now additional director of ACB. DN Patel, DIG of Rajkot range, has been appointed as additional CP in Surat..

They include Bharuch SP Sandeep Singh, now DIG (Rajkot range), Vadodara DCP Gautamkumar Parmar, now DIG (railways), Vadodara DCP Sachin Badshah, who got transferred to CID (crime – IV), and HR Muliyana, appointed as additional CP (traffic and crime) in Surat
