Bobby Deol’s plan of ‘action’

In his 23-year-long career, Bobby Deol has starred in a number of action movies. With the high-octane Race 3 that released last Friday, we asked him if he feels the action scenario has changed over the years. The one thing he is really happy about is the safety measures filmmakers take while shooting action scenes now.

Bobby says, “These days, they do so much on VFX and I’m like, ‘Yeh pehle kyun nahin tha!’ Pehle humein third floor se jump karvaate the. They used to place airbags or cardboard boxes below for us to land/fall on. Back then, I was like, ‘Kya yaar, actor kyun ban gaya main!’ But you had to do it. Aur ab toh aisa lagta hai jaise action kiya hi nahi,” he says. Talking of Race 3, he says, they did shoot a number of action scenes in scorching heat. “That was horrible,” he laughs.
