Terming Rajasthan chief minister Ashok Gehlot's one year in office as total failure, BJP today accused the Congress government in Rajasthan of poor management of finance and water resources, inflation and poor law and order situation.

The opposition also leveled corruption charges against two state ministers and demanded action.

"Congress has nothing to show or to prove its claim of being pro-development government. Statement of chief minister Ashok Gehlot on completing one year is a mere bundle of lies," state BJP president Arun Chaturvedi said.

"State cooperative minister and state transport minister are suspects in corruption cases. The government should have asked for their resignation but nothing was done," he alleged, demanding for inquiry into the matter by sitting high court judges.

He claimed the state government did not initiate even a single development work and was busy inaugurating projects initiated by the previous BJP government.

Chaturvedi also accused the government for closing seven developmental projects across the state due to lack of fund.

"BJP government had left a revenue profit of Rs1,653 crore, but in one year, revenue loss of the state has crossed Rs4,184  crore, which clearly shows the financial management of the state government," he said.

"The government had appointed Mathur Commission to investigate the alleged corruption of previous BJP government, but its chairman held a press conference and alleged that government officials were not cooperation in providing required files properly," he added.

"Congress was also failed to handle water and power crisis issue. During BJP rule, number of villages which were provided power connections increased from 5,000 to 36,000 but this number has dipped during Congress rule," he claimed.

The government also failed to handle the IOC fire incident and spread of swine flu effectively, he said.
