BJP activists will court arrest tomorrow in protest against the police firing on agitating farmers at Maval in Pune district last week killing three persons.

BJP leaders from across the state and party workers Tuesday held a demonstration led by the state president Sudhir Mungattiwar at Variety Square near the statue of Mahatma Gandhi and condemned the police firing incident.

Three farmers were killed and many others injured when police opened fire on them at Maval in Pune district last week.

The farmers were protesting against a closed pipeline project facilitating supply of water from Pavna dam to industrial township of Pimpri Chinchwad. Maharashtra Government ordered a judicial probe into the incident.

City Mayor of BJP-ruled Nagpur Municipal Corporation Archana Dehankar, legislator Davendra Phadanvis, party spokesperson Girish Vyas among others participated in the demonstrations.
