Why India’s fashion industry scores over others? Designer Ritu Kumar explains

Indian fashion designer Ritu Kumar gives insight into why fashion in India is more than a trend.

"It is perhaps the only country in the world which has an organic fashion handwriting and not only is it symbolic, it is actually overtaking most fashion in India," she says. 

She also reflects on how the perception of the industry needs to go beyond parties and personalities and move towards a deeper intelligence in design, as Kumar believes fashion is a very serious business.
