Indian sand sculptor to represent India at Moscow championship

Sudarsan Pattnaik said that he would carve a 2.50 m sculpture on the theme of World cinema at the championship venue, Kolomenskoe Museum Reserve in Moscow.

Internationally acclaimed sand artist Sudarsan Pattnaik from Orissa has been selected to represent India at the 11-day 2nd Moscow World Sand Sculpture Championship beginning on April 28.
   
Pattnaik, who has been invited by Pavel Zadanyuk the chairman of selection committee, told PTI that he would carve a 2.50 m sculpture on the theme of World cinema at the championship venue, Kolomenskoe Museum Reserve in Moscow.
   
"I am very happy to get the invitation to represent India in the World championship. I will try my best," he said.
   
Pattnaik has received many international awards including at the World Championship at Berlin in 2008 and runs a sand art school here.
