The Anti-Narcotics Cell (ANC) sleuths have arrested a Nigerian national who allegedly supplies drugs to DJs and pub-hoppers in the city. ANC officials said that DJ Jolly alias Baljeet Singh, who was arrested on November 14 for allegedly trying to sell drugs outside the pub, revealed the name of Yusuf Okonsa during interrogation.

Acting on the details provided by Jolly, Okonsa, 28, was held on Monday with 10gm of cocaine in Malad.

According to ANC officers, Okonsa is one of the major cocaine peddlers in the city and supplies drug to many DJs. It was while working at the Bandra pub that Jolly got in touch with him. He then introduced Okonsa to his other DJ friends.

However, the ANC officers are finding it difficult to interrogate Okonsa as he has a very well-built physique and is not cooperating with them.

The other DJs that Jolly has named will also be called for questioning, an ANC officer said. The ANC had arrested Jolly after receiving a tip-off that a pub insider was going to deliver a drug consignment. They disguised themselves as party-goers and were inside the pub keeping a watch when one officer noticed Jolly moving out with a small bag. Jolly was moving suspiciously on the foothpath when he was apprehended.
