Ganguly gets a ‘call’ for 2nd Test

But he’ll only be watching. Punjab Cricket Association extends invitations to former skippers for the Mohali Test, from March 9 to 14.

MOHALI: He may not be part of the playing XI but former Indian captain Sourav Ganguly will be present in the second Test against England on invitation from the Punjab Cricket Association (PCA).

At a press conference here on Monday, PCA President IS Bindra informed that invitations have been extended to all former Indian captains for the second Test and Ganguly, Kapil Dev and Mansur Ali Khan Pataudi have confirmed to be present on the occasion.

“Ganguly has informed the PCA about his arrival in Mohali after the Deodhar Trophy match in Jaipur,”’ said Bindra.

BCCI president Sharad Pawar will be felicitated during the Test.
