There is no scope for fear, says Hrithik Roshan

SINGAPORE: It was business as usual at Lau Pa Sat, the popular food court in Singapore. So were the stunt performances of Hrithik Roshan, who was shooting at the location for Krissh.

The actor had been 'flying' all over the island for the last couple of weeks. Little did he imagine that he was to have his first frightening stunt mishap - falling from a height of 25 feet - while performing the Superman-like actions.

The incident has not deterred the actor. "There is no scope for fear," he said while relaxing in his room at the Holiday Inn. "You can't really hold on to such things and let them decide your actions."

Hrithik said it was an unforeseen event that couldn't be blamed on anyone. "The wire that held me got caught in a protrusion which none of us had noticed," he said. "The harness gave away as it couldn't take my weight."

But as fate had it, it rained just before the shoot, because of which the stall-owners brought out their canopies.  "When I saw him fall I didn't realise there were canopies below," recalled papa Rakesh Roshan who watched the entire incident, shocked.

Luckily, Hrithik even missed the canopy rods. "I could have got hurt had I fallen on them."

While such a freak accident would have prompted many a Bollywood actor to call for pack-up, Hrithik chose to finish the day's work. "It occurred around 3 in the afternoon and I didn't see any reason to call it a day for I was not injured." The same logic applied the next day.

Dismissing suggestions to opt for a stunt double, he said, "I have never really had any such experience before, but I don't think I am likely to have doubles doing my job."

While Hrithik is not shaken, the accident has had his family running to be at his side. Wife Susanne and mother Pinky have already reached Singapore.
