    Football idols John Terry, Wayne Rooney and Rio Ferdinand's diamond-studded boots are going under the hammer in London.

    Tipped to be the most expensive footwear in the history, the three pairs have a total of 7,444 precious stones on them and, together they are valued at a massive 385,000 pounds.

    England and Chelsea captain Terry's wore the all-white footwear in 3-0 World Cup qualifying match with Belarus on October 14.

    Terry's Umbro boots has 2,374 jewels attached to it and bear his children's names, Summer and Georgie.

    The studs are tipped with 84 black diamonds and set in white gold.

    Manchester United striker Rooney's blue and white Nike boots, which he has worn in the Premier League, is embellished with 2,576 gems with more than 10 carat of white diamonds and 31 carat of black diamonds.

    While his famous No 10 is moulded out of rose gold.

    Ferdinand's white and black Nike boots have been adorned with spray paint and grafitti-style artwork by film producer and former musician Goldie.

    The laces are gold-tipped, while the boots themselves are covered in 2,494 stones - more than 18carat of white diamonds, 15 carat of black diamonds and nearly 11 carat of rubies.

    All three pairs will be auctioned for charity at the VIP launch of Rio Ferdinand's new Live The Dream Foundation.

    "This is a chance for me and my England team-mates to do something to help underprivileged children," the News of the World quoted Ferdinand as saying.

    "I mentioned the idea to John and Wayne when we met up with England and they both agreed to help," he added.

    Rooney said: "I was very happy to help the foundation."

    The idea of designing and creating the world's most expensive boots was the brainchild of former fashion model and dancer Luisa Di Marco.
