Acting on a petition filed by a woman who appeared in the Lok Rakshak Dal examination for the post of constable (unarmed) and got incomplete question paper, the Gujarat High Court has issued notice to the director general of police and Lok Rakshak Recruitment Board directing them to file their reply in the matter by March 18. The notice was issued by the single judge bench of Justice NV Anjaria during the hearing of the petition filed by Geeta Baria. According to the petitioner, she has applied for the position of constable (unarmed) and appeared in the exam conducted by the state government. After she got her question paper, she was surprised to find that the question paper was incomplete and the questions number 24 to 80 were missing from the paper.

She immediately informed the exam supervisor about the same, who promised her to provide a fresh question paper after procuring the same from the office of the examination centre. The petitioner claimed that the supervisor returned after over half-an-hour, and then refused to provide a fresh question paper.

She has submitted before the court that the non-replacement of the incomplete question paper has caused great injustice to her chances of cracking the exam. She also claimed that she had no fault in the entire incident, but ended up becoming a victim of the wrong printing of the question paper.

The next hearing of the matter is scheduled on March 18.
