Kadai Yaseen Ahamed, born in 1997 in Chennai, India, is a promising motorcycle road racer who has been making waves in the racing world. He gained recognition by becoming the 2021 Indian national champion in the fiercely competitive Pro-Stock 301 to 400cc class. Currently, he represents the esteemed Petronas TVS Racing team and is set to achieve a historic milestone by becoming the first Indian rider to participate in the Moto3 category on September 24. He is also the sole Indian rider in the BharatGP 2023 event.

Early life and introduction to racing:

Ahamed's journey into the world of motorsport began during his schooling years at the Hindu High School in Chennai. His exceptional talent was discovered while racing on the streets of Triplicane by Jagan Kumar, a multiple-time Indian champion in motorcycle racing. Jagan Kumar introduced Ahamed to track racing in 2012. Initially, Ahamed's family had reservations about him pursuing a career in racing, but Jagan Kumar successfully convinced them about the safety and potential of racing on closed circuits.

Professional achievements:

At the age of 26, Kadai Yaseen Ahamed has already achieved remarkable success in his racing career. He secured a wild card entry for the upcoming Bharat MotoGP round, set to take place at the Buddh International Circuit (BIC) from September 22 to 24. Ahamed will be competing on a Honda NSF250R in this prestigious event.

His list of accolades includes winning the 2020 Indian National Motorcycle Racing Championship (INMRC) in the Pro-Stock 301-400cc category. He has also showcased his skills on the international stage by participating in the Thailand Superbike 400 series and the Asia Cup Japan. In 2023, he joined the Asia Road Racing Championship, representing the TVS Racing Team aboard the TVS RR310 OMC.

MotoGP Bharat debut:

The MotoGP Bharat event, set to unfold at the renowned Buddh International Circuit in Greater Noida, has garnered significant attention from racing enthusiasts worldwide. Indian fans are particularly excited as they prepare to cheer for Kadai Yaseen Ahamed, a homegrown talent from Chennai.

Ahamed will compete in the Moto3 category as a wildcard rider, sharing the track with Malaysia's Shahril Danial Syahmi. This event, part of the 2023 MotoGP Championship, marks the 13th round and adds another layer of prestige to the Buddh International Circuit, which previously hosted three Formula 1 races between 2011 and 2013. Preparations for the MotoGP race included adapting the circuit to meet FIM (Fédération Internationale de Motocyclisme) standards, involving adjustments to certain bends and the installation of safety measures such as air fences and foam barriers.
