As 'Band Baaja Baaraat' clocks 10 years of its release, Ranveer Singh has completed a decade in movies.
It's been 10 years since Ranveer Singh forayed into movies. The talented actor made his debut back in 2010 with the film Band Baaja Baaraat which also marked the directorial debut of Maneesh Sharma. In the film, Ranveer played the role of a small-town guy Bittoo Sharma who becomes a successful wedding planner in Delhi with Shruti Kakkar played by Anushka Sharma. The actor swept off all debut awards during the award season and there was no turning back for him.
Within just a couple of years, Ranveer proved his acting mettle and showed the world that he is here to stay. The actor had no inhibitions in experimenting with roles which eventually became successful. In 2013, he played the role of a thief in Vikramaditya Motwane's soulful film Lootera. The very same year, Ranveer was seen as raw and vibrant Ram in Sanjay Leela Bhansali's Goliyon Ki Raasleela Ram-Leela. The film also marked his first outing with ladylove and actor Deepika Padukone.
Ranveer's associations with Bhansali made him the most loved and top actors of the country. Their collaborations namely Bajirao Mastani and Padmaavat proved to be a box office hit as well as received them several accolades.
With Simmba, Ranveer got into the masala movie space and made his fans happier as they wished to see him in the commercial space after a series of serious roles. While his last outing Gully Boy, once again shows that Singh can go to any lengths to get into the skin of his character. He even showed his singing prowess in Zoya Akhtar directorial.
Now, fans can't wait to see him playing the role of Kapil Dev in '83 which could have been his one of the releases in the 10th year of his career.

Ranveer Singh worked with his wife and actor Deepika Padukone for the first time in the film Goliyon Ki Raasleela Ram-Leela directed by Sanjay Leela Bhansali. The film released in 2013 and during the MAMI film festival, Deepika had revealed that the confrontational scene with Ranveer after 'Nagada Sang Dhol' was her first shot for the film.
