7 things you need to know about Suho - the Korean pop singer Suhana Khan is crushing on!

Born as Kim Jun-myeon, Suho adapted the name Suho as his stage name. Suho means “guardian” in Korean. His native is in Seoul, South Korea, which is where the singer-actor-model-songwriter lives with his parents even today. Suho claims to be a Buddhist.

Suho was the class president in Whimoon High School’s elementary and eventually became the vice-chairman. He grew with pure talent and was picked up for an audition as a singer after giving a street performance.

The 16-year-old became a trainee through SM Entertainment's Casting System. Introduced as the 10th member of Exo (band), Suho soon became the leader of the band. Till date he has sung ‘Beautiful’, collaborated for ‘My Hero’, ‘Curtain’, ‘Dinner’ and ‘Do You Have A Moment’ (also wrote the latter two songs) and gave the soundtrack for ‘Saving Santa’, ‘Beautiful Accident’ and ‘Starlight’.

Theatre played an important role in Suho’s life. His group made their debut with the extended play ‘Mama’ back in 2012. He then played the lead role in ‘School OZ’ (2015), and went on to work in ‘The Last Kiss’ in 2017 and ‘The Man Who Laughs’ in 2018.

He step foot into movie by dubbing for the animated movie, Saving Santa, in 2013. He then started hosting a weekly music show ‘Inkigayo’ in 2014 alongside fellow Exo member Baekhyun, ZE: A member Kwanghee and actress Lee Yu-bi. He however made his movie debut in 2016 with One Way Trip, which premiered at the Busan International Film Festival. The same year he was cast in the web drama ‘How Are You Bread’. In 2017, he starred in MBC drama special ‘The Universe’s Star’. In 2018, he appeared in South Korean adaptation of Japanese drama ‘Rich man, poor woman.’ Apart from this he made cameo appearances in the Super Junior film Attack on the Pin-Up Boys, ‘To The Beautiful You’, ‘Prime Minister & I’, and ‘HaHaHa Song’ music video.

Suho is one of the youngest to get his life documented, even if it is in bits and pieces. ‘Exo Next Door’, a Television series from 2015, featured him as himself.

He won Click!StarWars TheFactNews Year-End Awards for Popular K-pop Star Award for One Way Trip in 2016, followed by 7th Yegreen Musical Awards Popularity Award Male Actor and Stagetalk Audience Choice Awards Best Male Rookie Musical Actor Award for ‘The Man Who Laughs’ in 2018. In 2019, he won Asia Culture Awards Male Rookie Actor and 3rd Korea Musical Awards Male Rookie Award (Daesang) for the same.
