Parenting is a tough job. It takes two very committed individuals to take on this role full-time. As a society, we are always looking at mothers for raising their children because a majority of people believe that motherhood and parenting come naturally to women. But what about single parents, especially single dads?
As the world is changing, we as a society are becoming more accepting of change in the typical familial norms. In recent times, men have been taking an active part in raising kids and have shown that they too can raise their kids just like their counterparts.
Some Bollywood celebrities too have taken on the role of being single fathers and set an example for someone who wants to embrace fatherhood in the near future.
Here, meet the single dads of Bollywood.
1. Chandrachur Singh

Chandrachur Singh is a single father to Shraanajai Singh. His son was born in 2007. Chandrachur was last seen on the small screen in Sushmita Sen starrer Arya (2020). In an interview with ETimes, he said, "I believe that I keep learning on the job. Parenting, I think, is one of the toughest jobs. You make mistakes, you have your good moments, you keep learning and try to become better.”
2. Karan Johar

Karan Johar has two kids, Yash and Roohi. He conceived them through IVF in 2017. He claims that fatherhood has changed him for life. He had changed his Instagram bio to "A father and then a filmmaker," while his Twitter handle introduces him as "Roohi aur Yash ka papa! Hiroo aur Yash ka beta..." The twins turn 4 this year.
3. Tusshar Kapoor

Tusshar Kapoor became a proud father to his son Laksshya in 2016. Laksshya was also born via IVF and surrogacy. Tusshar Kapoor had announced the arrival of his son with utter happiness and joy. His son turned five just two days ago (June 4).
4. Rahul Dev

Rahul Dev had lost his wife to cancer back in 2009 and since then he has been doing a wonderful job raising his son Siddhant. He is a happy and an invested father. Rahul Dev took up 'Bigg Boss 10' in 2016 to secure funds for his son's higher studies.
5. Rahul Bose

Unlike Karan Johar and Tusshar Kapoor, Rahul Bose adopted six kids from Andaman and Nicobar Islands. He adopted them back in 2007 with the permission of his charity institution. The names of his kids are Pratima, Rukhsar, Matrena, Bindu, Jinu and Animesh, all aged 11.
