Ranveer Singh and Alia Bhatt starrer Gully Boy has been screened for the first time at Berlin Film Festival
Gully Boy stars Ranveer Singh and Alia Bhatt paid a visit to the Berlin Film Festival, and in actuality, painted the town red with their zany acts. The film got selected to be screened at the festival and thus, people there witnessed the world of Gully Boy for the first time.
The film is a story inspired by slum rappers of Dharavi. Ranveer Singh, who is paired opposite Alia Bhatt for the first time on the big screen, is playing the role of a street rapper. The film also marks the first time that Alia Bhatt is working with Excel Entertainment and Zoya Akhtar. The actress will be seen in a never-seen-before avatar in Gully Boy.
Directed by Zoya Akhtar, Gully Boy is produced by Ritesh Sidhwani and Farhan Akhtar under the banner of Excel Entertainment in association with Tiger Baby and this film on the underground rap movement in India is slated to release on February 14. The movie also stars Kalki Koechlin, Siddharth Chaturvedi and Vijay Raaz in pivotal roles.
Meanwhile, Zoya and Ritesh, along with Ranveer and Alia, were witness to a huge crowd waiting to see the stars and their film at the Festival, and to say the least, nobody was disappointed. Ranveer put out crazy performances one after the other, the stars received a warm welcome – Ranveer was made to sign one of his portraits and Alia signed the legendary Berlinale book – and not only that, Ranveer was also kissed by a fan!

Ranveer Singh had worked with Zoya Akhtar in Dil Dhadakne Do. Since then the actor knew that he had to work with her again, and it materialized with Gully Boy. Alia and Zoya however are working together for the first time. Zoya is known for making movies like Luck By Chance, Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara and Dil Dhadakne Do.
