Fazal, who turns 34 on Thursday, is one actor who has extensively worked in Hindi films, has done a Hollywood film titled 'Victoria & Abdul', and of late has been seen in a few web series and a web film including 'Mirzapur', 'Mind the Malhotras' and Netflix's House Arrest.
While Ali Fazal was not a popular face if one was to go back a couple of years ago, but things changed for him after audiences noticed his acting chops in a few films that turned out to be a turning point for his career.

1. Ali Fazal - 3 Idiots

Not his 2008 debut film 'The Other End of the Line', but Aamir Khan starrer '3 Idiots' helped Ali Fazal be noticed as an actor. It was his debut Hindi film.
His special appearance as engineering student Joy Lobo, who commits suicide after his unsuccessful attempts to make a drone, was liked by audiences.
2. Ali Fazal - Fukrey, Fukrey Returns

Ali's big break and first success came with 'Fukrey'. As the calm and composed Zafar, who speaks less, minds his own business, Ali quickly made his way into the hearts of the audiences. He later in the sequel 'Fukrey Return' as well.
In fact, Fukrey was a major turning point in Ali's personal life as well, because it was on the sets of this film that he met his lady-love Richa Chadha, who he is about to marry soon.
3. Ali Fazal in Victoria & Abdul

A British-American biographical comedy-drama film helmed by Stephen Frears, the movie depicted the real-life relationship between Queen Victoria (Judi Dench) and her Indian Muslim servant Abdul Karim, played by Ali Fazal.
This was Ali's first major role in a Hollywood film and he sure grabbed the opportunity with both his hands and proved himself worthy of it. Ali received widespread praise for his acting in the film.
4. Ali Fazal in Mirzapur

Ali Fazal as Guddu Bhaiya in Mirzapur is remarkable. In fact, when Ali was offered the role, it demanded that he bulk up. Consequently, Ali's own passion for acting inspired him to transform his body and undergo a physique change to do justice to his gangster look in the web series. And now, after all the efforts that have got into the physical transformation and his superlative acting as Guddu Pandit, the audiences have been swooning over him.
'Mirzapur' turned out to be one of the biggest successes in Ali's career.
5. Ali Fazal in Death On The Nile

Showcasing his diverse talent to his fans from across the globe, Ali Fazal will be next seen in Kenneth Branagh's 'Death On The Nile. In “Death on the Nile”, Fazal plays a character first portrayed by George Kennedy in the 1978 film adaptation, and by David Soul as part of long-running series “Poirot.”
The film which releases on December 18, will see Ali showcase what a powerhouse of talent he is.
