One of the most sought-after actors of recent times, Ali Fazal has secured a place in the hearts of his fans not just in India but internationally too. 

Fazal, who turns 34 on Thursday, is one actor who has extensively worked in Hindi films, has done a Hollywood film titled 'Victoria & Abdul', and of late has been seen in a few web series and a web film including 'Mirzapur', 'Mind the Malhotras' and Netflix's House Arrest. 

While Ali Fazal was not a popular face if one was to go back a couple of years ago, but things changed for him after audiences noticed his acting chops in a few films that turned out to be a turning point for his career. 

The way Fazal craved a niche for himself in the film industry and the distinct roles he played over the last couple of years, earned him critical acclaim and the audiences love. 

While Fazal made his acting debut with a small role in 2008's English language film The Other End of the Line before appearing in the American television miniseries Bollywood Hero, it took him a 'Fukrey' to be noticed by audiences.

After that of course, there was no looking back.

And while the talented star has several films like Sonali Cable, Bobby Jasoos, Khamoshiyan among others to his credit, audiences also know him for his special appearance as Joy Lobo in the blockbuster film '3 Idiots'. In fact, Fazal also made an appearance in 'Furious 7'.

In fact, the star has been receiving rave reviews for his portrayal as Guddu Bhaiya aka Guddu Pandit in Amazon Prime Video's web series 'Mirzapur'. Meanwhile, the actor will also be seen in the Hollywood film 'Death On The Nile' alongside Kenneth Branagh, Tom Bateman, Gal Gadot among others.

His special appearance as engineering student Joy Lobo, who commits suicide after his unsuccessful attempts to make a drone, was liked by audiences.

The film which releases on December 18, will see Ali showcase what a powerhouse of talent he is.
