Kamal Haasan's Indian 2 got passed with a U/A certificate from CBFC but also asked for five changes.

Kamal Haasan's much-awaited film Indian 2 (Hindustani 2 in Hindi) will soon be released in cinemas. Shankar's directorial is the direct sequel to Indian (1996), with Kamal reprising his role of vigilante Senapthy. The Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) cleared the film with a U/A certificate, but they also suggested five changes. A photo of the film's CBFC certificate surfaced on the internet, and it revealed the changes the board suggested.

1. Static smoking disclaimers

As per the leaked image of the CBFC certificate, the CBFC mandated increasing the size of static smoking disclaimers and ensuring the text is in bold black on a white background.

The CBFC also asked to replace a few words like 'f**k', 'dirty Indian', 'Indian', 'Thaayoli', and 'Thoththa'. The board also asked to replace the label 'Bribe market' from a scene.

The makers were also required to provide an NOC (non-objection certificate) for using copyrighted content, and the makers have already done so.
