The 2000 musical romantic drama Mohabbatein was the second film directed by Aditya Chopra after Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge. Apart from the three superstars Amitabh Bachchan, Shah Rukh Khan, and Aishwarya Rai, the film also starred a bunch of newcomers Uday Chopra, Shamita Shetty, Jugal Hansraj, Kim Sharma, Jimmy Sheirgill, and Preeti Jhangiani.
