SCOOPS: Abhishek-Aishwarya Rai Bachchan prank Zeenat Aman, Amrita Singh unhappy with Sara Ali Khan-Kartik's outings

Zeenat Aman got nostalgic when she visited the set of Super Dancer 3 and saw nine-year-old Tejas Verma perform on Khaike Paan Banaras Wala from her film Don (1978) with Amitabh Bachchan. The veteran actress recalled how Abhishek Bachchan used to pull her leg while she was shooting for Pukar (1983) with Big B. She revealed that Abhi, who used to accompany his superstar father on the sets, had some or the other strategy going on in his mind. 

“He would ring the doorbell and run away. Initially, I wouldn’t know who was doing it. But, one day, I caught Abhishek red-handed,” Zeenat recalled. “It didn’t stop there. Continuing the tradition, even Aishwarya Rai Bachchan started doing it. One day, when I invited the couple to my house, they rang the bell and ran away,” she laughed, narrating the incident. 

Following the extremely positive response to the trailer of Article 15, the makers of the Ayushmann Khurrana-starrer will launch the film’s first song, Shuru Karein Kya, on Monday (June 10). In keeping with the real-life subject, the Anubhav Sinha directorial has been inspired from, the song, a rap number, will be equally hard-hitting. Interestingly, this track is a collaboration between Ranveer Singh’s IncInk rappers, namely Kaam Bhari, Spitfire, and Slow Cheetah along with female rapper DeeMC. 

When asked why he chose the rappers and a song like this as the first for the film, Anubhav said, “Because they are all young kids and the next phase of India is even created by people like them and you. So, this is a call to action for youngsters. The song will be seen actually in the heart and dedication to the youngsters of this country. There are so many things that you see around you, which need to be corrected. You get used to them and don’t think about changing them. No one else will come and change anything, you have to do it for yourself. So, my brief to them was simple – I didn’t tell them to relate to those problems, but instead, asked them about the issues they feel for. It all turned out beautifully in the end.” 

Produced by Zee Studios, the investigative drama is based on the 2014 Badaun (Uttar Pradesh) rape case that made national headlines. It also features Isha Talwar, M Nassar, Manoj Pahwa, Sayani Gupta, Kumud Mishra and Mohammed Zeeshan Ayyub.  

Sobhita Dhulipala, who gained fame with the web series Made In Heaven, is known for her frank and forthright opinions. When the Kaalakaandi actress visited the sets of a Colors Infinity Show along with Jim Sarbh and Sumeet Vyas, she made some fiery revelations. 

The actress, who got the netizens talking about her performance and sizzling chemistry with her on-screen husband Jim in Made In Heaven, was put in a spot by host Neha Dhupia during the game round ‘Scary Spice.’ Sobhita was asked to choose between Jim and Vicky Kaushal with whom she shared screen space in Raman Raghav 2.0. No, it was not about who is a better performer, but who is a better kisser between the two! And, this might come as a shock to the female fans of Vicky as sources from the sets say, Sobhita chose Jim over the Manmarziyaan actor!   

In another game round, she was asked if Made in Heaven was made into a film, who would she cast as the good wife and the cheating husband, closest to reality.

The actress was asked to choose between real-life jodis — the husband-wife duo Ranveer Singh-Deepika Padukone, and two couples who are in a relationship — Arjun Kapoor-Malaika Arora and Ranbir Kapoor-Alia Bhatt. Sobhita, who was on a roll, chose Alia and Ranbir. 

Shilpa Shetty Kundra turns a year older today and on this special occasion, she is launching her app. Since the actress is judging Super Dancer 3, she decided to unveil it on the show. “The app is Shilpa’s dream project and so decided to unveil it on her birthday. Co-incidentally, the dance show was being aired on the same date, so everything fell into place,” says our source. Usually, the actress’ husband Raj Kundra plans a surprise trip for her birthday, but this year, they will celebrate in Mumbai with a special lunch and dinner as she has to be in town for the TV show and her app promotion. The couple is planning to go on a holiday next month. 

It’s been eight months since Rishi Kapoor has been in New York to undergo medical treatment. The veteran actor had then tweeted, “Hello all! I am taking a short leave of absence from work to go to America for some medical treatment. I urge my well-wishers not to worry or unnecessarily speculate. It’s been 45 years “plus” of wear and tear at the movies. With your love and good wishes, I will be back soon!” The Mulk actor had flown to the Big Apple with wife Neetu Kapoor last September and rented an apartment there. 

Now, there is good news for his fans. A source tells us that the veteran artiste is on his way to recovery and will be returning to India this September. 

Understandably, the family is relieved. In April this year, Randhir Kapoor, who had gone to New York to visit his brother, had stated that Rishi is on the road to recovery. 

“He is undergoing treatment, he is much better. He is almost cancer free. He will take some time to come back as he has to finish his course. He will be here in the next couple of months. Very soon,” he said in an interview.

Though Rishi is away from Tinseltown, his friends and well-wishers from the industry have been visiting him in New York. From Amitabh Bachchan to Priyanka Chopra Jonas, Deepika Padukone, Karan Johar and Boman Irani, B-Town celebrities have dropped in to meet the actor and even posted pictures. 

Even before they signed their first film together, Sara Ali Khan and Kartik Aaryan were in the news. It all started when the Simmba actress said on Koffee With Karan that she would like to date the Luka Chuppi actor. Speculations have been rife about what’s cooking between the two after the duo started shooting their maiden collaboration, Imtiaz Ali’s sequel to Love Aaj Kal (2009).

If a ‘leaked’ picture of their kiss from a scene from their film shoot wasn’t enough, Kartik and Sara have often been photographed together. Whether they were trying to hide their faces in front of the paparazzi or when they wished Eid Mubarak with their faces covered in a picture that the Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety star shared online, their appearances together have always sparked rumours.

Interestingly, even though her superstar daddy Saif Ali Khan, with whom she appeared on Karan Johar’s chat show, was amused and sporting about Sara’s 
comments on the show, it looks like momma Amrita Singh doesn’t approve of her daughter’s antics.

Sources tell us that the feisty actress has conveyed her displeasure to her beti. She has apparently told Sara that she doesn’t appreciate her being in the news for her rumoured link-up. “However, it looks like Sara isn’t listening, if her pictures with Kartik are any indication,” points our informer.

Wonder if the Gwalior lad has been warned enough about Amrita’s fiery temper.
