SCOOPS: Ranveer Singh to wear a lehenga at his wedding with Deepika Padukone, Abhishek Bachchan in 'Breathe' and more

Ranveer Singh and Deepika Padukone are busy prepping for their wedding and Karan Johar seems to be involved in it. At least, that’s what we hear from the sets of India’s Got Talent (IGT). According to a source, “Karan was shooting for the show when he got a call from his manager saying Ranveer and Deepika are fighting over who will be wearing a lehenga on the wedding day. The Simmba actor, who is known for his eclectic dressing sense, was apparently insisting that he sport it. The manager reportedly told filmmaker and the show judge that he has to go and sort it out. That’s when the show’s host Bharti Singh said that he couldn’t leave the shoot mid-way, especially since she was getting a band to perform on the stage. She also told him he should watch them and if they are good he can get them to play for Ranveer-Deepika’s shaadi.” Before you take this seriously, let us tell you that this was all part of the act that they had created for the reality show.

While the first season of Breathe saw Amit Sadh on R Madhavan’s trail, the second will see him sharing screen space with Abhishek Bachchan. Amit played the troubled cop Kabir Sawant and was appreciated for his gritty act, and Madhavan, too, received good reviews for his act as a father willing to do anything to save his son. With the latter’s track coming to an end in the last episode of the web series, one wondered if the show will have another innings. After Abhishek gave his nod, the wheels have been set in motion. This will also mark the Manmarziyaan actor’s digital debut. While the first edition of the thriller was directed by Mayank Sharma and featured Sapna Pabbi and Neena Kulkarni in pivotal roles, the new cast is yet to be announced.

Aamir Khan, Katrina Kaif and Fatima Sana Shaikh salute the spirit of freedom in Thugs Of Hindostan’s song, Manzoor E Khuda, which releases today. Director Viktor (Vijay Krishna Acharya) says, “Manzoor E Khuda comes at a turning point in the film, so it had to be a moving, powerful track. I think its lyrics, composition and vocals have created an overwhelming effect, making this salute to independence an incredibly special number. We love it and are certain that the audience will like the spirit of freedom in it.”

About two months ago, we had reported about Amit Sadh being accompanied by model Annabel DaSilva at one of his film’s screenings. The two were said to be more than just good friends. While back then the Gold actor didn’t revert to our query if she was the new girl in his life, he seemed to be in confession mode yesterday. Amit shared online a picture of them together saying, “My guest on set.. My significant other... Very happy you are here my love … I just hope I don’t give too many retakes today (sic).”

The actress has done a few photoshoots that are aimed to change the perception about her. What’s more, in her new film, Dolly Kitty Aur Voh Chamakte Sitaare, Bhumi plays a modern Indian girl who’s rebellious and wants to change the stereotypes attached to women in the country. Not surprising then that her look in the movie is diametrically opposite to her other roles. In an interview to After Hrs, she had spoken out about her desire to play characters closer to who she is in real life. “I’m a contemporary Indian girl. I’m hardly anything like Sandhya (from Dum Laga Ke) or Jaya (TEPK). I had been offered these roles which I really liked but I’m definitely going to portray a lot more modern characters now,” she had said. We can’t wait to see the glam and bold Bhumi.

While her last release Badhaai Ho earned critical acclaim and is continuing to impress cinegoers, Sanya Malhotra has something else to worry about right now. She suffered a minor accident and injured her foot. Since prior commitments don’t give her the luxury of resting till she recovers, she has been using crutches to walk. Here’s wishing her a quick recovery.

Having been a part of various dance numbers like Parda (Once Upon A Time In Mumbaai) and Chokra Jawaan Re (Ishaqzaade), Gauahar Khan will now be seen in an upcoming dance show on the digital platform. She has been rehearsing extensively for it. Reveals a source, “Gauahar will be doing rehearsals for about a week before she starts shooting for the songs. One of the tracks is a high-energy dance number with some really killer moves. She rehearsed for 12 hours at a stretch to get the steps right and the result looks flawless.” We hear the actress will be grooving to three hit Bollywood numbers for this digital dance show.
