Vivek Oberoi is all set to play the role of PM Narendra Modi in his biopic. The trailer was launched recently and Vivek donned the Modi look for the event.
Vivek Anand Oberoi finally launched the much-awaited trailer of PM Narendra Modi, where he plays the titular role. At the trailer launch event held last evening in Mumbai, Vivek was seen in his look from the film and he was completely unrecognisable. Along with him, present at the event was his father and veteran actor Suresh Oberoi. Director of the film, Omung Kumar and producer Sandip Ssingh also attended the event. In the film, Zarina Wahab will be seen as Vivek's mother and Barkha Sengupta as his onscreen wife.
At the event, Vivek was flooded with questions about choosing this project, getting into the skin of the character and more. Vivek called Narendra Modi as an inspiration and revealed that he said yes to the project in a jiffy. The film was announced earlier this year and they completed the shoot within three months. The film is set to hit the screens on April 5, 2019.

1. "I'm not an extreme kind of a person"

At the trailer launch, Vivek called himself as a balanced person. He stated, "I'm not an extreme kind of a person. I am a balanced person. I appreciate the bhakts and criticism of the critics. You are portraying a living legend and those who hate or love him, do that with intensity. People have become his bhakt."
2. It took Vivek only 30 seconds to say yes to the biopic

Vivek at the event, said, "Lot of people thought a film should be made on Narendra Modi as it is a great story but only Ssandeep Singh made it happen. I took me 30 seconds to say yes to the film. My team and director believe I have done justice. I have considered him as an inspiration."
3. Vivek Oberoi opens up about the interactions he had with PM Modi

At the event, Vivek went on to speak about his meet with PM Modi and the interactions they had. Oberoi stated, "I felt I know him from the interactions I have had with him as a neutral person. But when I started doing research for the film, I realised that he was never afraid of any difficulties or struggle he was very clear in his vision."
He further said, "After a few initial meetings, I thought that I knew Mr. Modi. But then the film came to me and I started reading all the research material that our director gave to me. I realised that... forget me, I do not think even those people who are associated with him for years, know him well. I am very small to know him well."
4. Vivek Oberoi considers PM Modi as an inspiration

Calling PM Modi as an inspiration, Vivek said, "Modiji is one of those personalities... if he decides something, if he is clear with his vision, he doesn't fear to achieve his goal. It is very inspirational."
5. Will Vivek ever join politics?

When the talented actor was quizzed about his plans of joining politics, he quipped, "Yes, you will see me as a politician... only on screen."
