Abhay Deol praises Taapsee Pannu, Swara Bhasker, Farah Khan Ali, says 'you all should be in next Rihanna video'

On Friday, actor Abhay Deol took to his Twitter handle to laud fellow industry members Taapsee Pannu, Swara Bhasker and jewellery designer Farah Khan Ali.

The 'Dev D' actor prised the celebrities for raising their voice in support of Rihanna and against the 'India against propaganda' tweets that were shared by other actors and cricketers following an uproar caused online and in the country due to the international pop icon's tweet extending support to the protesting farmers and questioning the internet shutdown in various parts of India.
  
Sharing screenshots of tweets made by the three female personalities, Abhay wrote in an Instagram post, "The popular expression, 'having the b@!!$' means to say 'having the courage.' Looking at these lovely ladies' media feed and I think we should replace 'b@!!$' with 'V@£!/@' @taapsee, @farahkhanali @reallyswara ya'll should be in the next @badgalriri video! Right wing trolls in 3, 2, 1."

He followed his caption with several hastags such as '#farmersprotest #censorship #actors #singers #comedians #dialogue #globalcommunity #humor #art #culture (sic)."

For the uninformed, on Thursday, taking an indirect jibe at Kangana and commenting on the social media outcry over Rihanna's tweet, Taapse had posted a tweet saying we should not become 'propaganda teacher' for others.

"If one tweet rattles your unity, one joke rattles your faith or one show rattles your religious belief then it`s you who has to work on strengthening your value system not become 'propaganda teacher' for others," Taapsee tweeted.

Farah had expressed her disappointment over the identical tweets by celebrities and reminded everyone of the distinction between 'reel-life heroes' and ‘real-life heroes’. “Disappointed with the fraternity tweeting identical tweets that make it more like a marketing gimmick. Whatever their reasons & I’m no one to judge at least u could have tried to make it more original. Now you have given yourselves away. Reel Life Heroes VS Real Life Heroes,” she wrote.

Meanwhile, Swara kept tweeting about the topic and also retweeting various memes and tweets she thought were either fun, interesting or informative. 

From Ekta Kapoor, Karan Johar, Ajay Devgn to Sachin Tendulkar, global personalities took to Twitter on Wednesday to urge people not to fall for false propaganda against India. 

This came after international pop icon Rihanna shared a news article about internet shutdown in parts of India asking "why aren't we talking about this?" and following it up with #farmersprotest.
