Abhishek Bachchan and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan have worked in many films together in their career, but today, we tell you about that one film, after which the couple never worked together again. This film was a big flop at the box office, and its condition was such that it could not even recover its cost.

Abhishek Bachchan and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan are one of the most popular couples in Bollywood. Both of them have shown their acting skills together in many films. The chemistry of the couple was amazing in 'Guru' and the film also proved to be a hit, but 14 years ago, Abhishek and Aishwarya worked on a film that proved to be a big flop. The name of that film is 'Raavan'.

Abhishek Bachchan and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan's film 'Raavan' was released in the year 2010. It was directed by renowned filmmaker Mani Ratnam. South superstar Vikram was also a part of the film, but after its release, 'Raavan' failed to impress the audience.

Abhishek Bachchan was not the hero in this film, rather he was the villain. He played the role of the dreaded Naxalite Beera Munda, who had a conflict with the police. Aishwarya Rai Bachchan was seen in the role of Ragini in 'Raavan'. This film was made on the lines of Ramayana. The story shows how Beera Munda kidnaps Ragini, the wife of SP Dev Pratap Sharma (Vikram) to take revenge for his sister's death.

After kidnapping Ragini, Beera takes her to the dense forests. Ragini tries hard to escape from Beera's clutches but is unsuccessful. Then Beera himself frees Ragini from his captivity after which the real story of the film begins.

Filmmaker Mani Ratnam left no stone unturned in making Abhishek Bachchan and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan's 'Raavan'. The film was shot in the best locations. The cinematography of the film was also praised a lot.

At that time, the makers of the film 'Raavan' had spent crores of rupees in the making of the film. 'Raavan' was made on a huge budget but, after its release, the film could not even recover its cost at the box office.

According to Box Office India, Rs 55 crores were spent in making Abhishek and Aishwarya's film 'Raavan'. After its release in theatres, 'Raavan' did a business of Rs 39.37 crore in India. Whereas, the total earnings of the film worldwide were only Rs 49.57 crore. 'Raavan' was the last film of Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and Abhishek Bachchan's career together. After this, the couple never worked together in any film again.
