Akshay Kumar has spent more than 30 years in the Hindi film industry and is known for doing his own stunts in his films. However, when the actor was asked about the 'toughest film' of his career in a recent interview, he surprisingly didn't take the name of any action film he has done and instead, picked up a comedy.

Talking to Galatta Plus, Akshay said Garam Masala is the toughest film of his career. The 2005 comedy, which also starred John Abraham, was directed by Priyadarshan and starred him as a photographer dating multiple women at the same time. Akshay said, "Toughest? Honestly, the toughest was Garam Masala! I used to pant while doing it because Priyan (Priyadarshan, the director) sir used to take long, long shots. It was more like a play. I am dating four women at one time, and they are all in that house only. I found that to be one of the most difficult films to do."

"Every time, I don't know how I will make you understand this, there is an expression change in each and every sentence because you are in front of this girl and you are saying this, and suddenly she turns back, and then you look at another girl, and then with her you have to be a different character. Because she expects something else from me. Then she goes and Paresh Rawal comes and he had a different dynamic. So he used to take all of this in one shot. There are many shots which are like 10 minutes long. I would find doing action, or dance easier than these things because this is real concentration- physical as well as mental", the National Award-winning actor concluded.

Meanwhile, Akshay's most recent release is Sarfira, which hit theatres this Friday on July 12. The drama is the Hindi remake of the 2020 Tamil film Soorarai Pottru, which was headlined by Suriya. Sudha Kongara has directed both the original and the remake. The film has received good reviews, but has only earned Rs 2.50 crore on its opening day.
