Akshay Kumar has opened up about being 'cheated' by producers. Currently, the actor is going through a bad phase in career. After delivering multiple flops, including the recently released Sarfira, Akshay revealed that there are producers who have not paid him his fees.

During an episode of Abundantia Entertainment’s Sarfiri Baatein hosted by Ghazal Alagh, Akshay was asked, "Has anybody in your business cheated you?” The actor admitted, “Ek do producers ki payment nahin aati hain and it’s cheating only. (It has happened to me. A few producers haven’t cleared my dues yet, and I consider it as cheating).”

The Hera Pheri actor further added, "This is something we have in common. Ek do producers ki payment nahin aati hain and that is cheating only. Main uske baad main usse baat hi nahin karta, chup ho jaata hoon, apna side mein nikal jaata hoon (I just don’t talk to that person, who cheats me. I go quiet)."

Akshay Kumar on his bad phase

In a conversation with Forbes India, Akshay Kumar, whose recent film Safira underperformed at the box office, talked about the 16 flop streak in his career and how he deals with failures. He said that behind every film, there is a lot of blood, sweat, and passion that goes in. "It is heartbreaking to see any film fail. But you have to learn to see the silver lining. Every failure teaches you the value of success and increases the hunger for it even further." The Singh is Kinng actor said.

He further added, "Luckily, I learned to deal with it earlier on in my career. Of course, it hurts and impacts you, but that won’t change the fate of the film. It’s not something that is in your control… what is in your control is to work harder, make amends, and give it your all to your next film. That’s how I channel my energy and try to move on to the next, focusing my energy where it matters the most." On the work front, Akshay will next be seen in Khel Khel Mein with Taapsee Pannu, Fardeen Khan, and Ammy Virk. The film is scheduled for August 15 release.
