Amitabh Bachchan's next thriller to also star Emraan Hashmi, here are the details

Talk about unusual combinations in Bollywood. The industry is definitely a fun place to be in, with people from one generation teaming up with a person from another, for a movie. Their thoughts, quality of work and ways of wokring also differ, but they come together for one movie.

Such a case has happened with Amitabh Bachchan and Emraan Hashmi. The megastar has teamed up with the serial kisser who is on a spree to change his image. A report on Bombay Times claims that they would be pairing up for a noir drama/thriller.

Producer Anand Pandit brings the cast together. In an interview to the daily, he mentioned, "My friendship with Mr Bachchan goes back a long way. I have not met any other actor, who matches his skill and commitment. It is an honour to be a part of creating a film with him. I have always admired Emraan’s body of work, so am looking forward to seeing him on screen with the legend for the first time. Given the subject of the film, I do believe we have a winner in our hands."

The movie is being directed by Rumi Jaffery, who has been a successful screenwriter with David Dhawan. He has also previously directed movies like 'Life Partner', 'Gali Gali Chori Hai' and 'God Tussi Great Ho'. He also told the daily, “A film is a collaborative effort. So, when you have one of the best actors in front of the camera and a veteran producer behind the lens supporting you and leading all creative efforts, then making the film is a fantastic experience!”

Sharing the news on his Twitter handle, Anand Pandit wrote, "Excited and elated to announce my next production starring @srbachchan and @emraanhashmi, directed by #RumiJaffery! Releasing in cinemas on 21st February 2020. @apmpictures #APMP"

The first schedule of the film will commence on May 10. It is being co-produced by Kumar Mangat, who has been most popular for his collaboration on Luv Ranjan's movies 'Pyaar Ka Punchnama', 'Pyaar Ka Punchnama 2' and 'Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety'. The movie would also feature veteran actor Annu Kapoor. It is produced by Anand Pandit Motion Pictures & Saraswati Entertainment Private Limited and would release on 21st February next year.

Apart from this movie, Emraan Hashmi has also teamed up with Shah Rukh Khan for the web show 'Bard Of Blood'. On the movie front, he would also be seen in 'Captain Nawab'. Meanwhile Amitabh Bachchan has movies like 'Brahmastra', 'Sye Raa Narasimha Reddy', 'Jhund', 'Tera Yaar Hoon Main' and 'Aankhen 2' in his kitty. Interestingly his last on-screen appearance, the latest one in fact, was also a thriller. 'Badla', co-starring Taapsee Pannu, was produced by Shah Rukh Khan and the movie touched the 100-crore mark just two days back.
