CONFIRMED: Sara Ali Khan to romance her 'crush' Kartik Aaryan in Imtiaz Ali's next

Sara Ali Khan made headlines when she declared on Koffee With Karan 6 that she has a huge crush on Kartik Aaryan. She even said that she would like to date him. When Karan Johar asked Kartik about Sara's statement, the actor had said that he will ask her out as soon as he earns enough money. He said this after Saif told Sara if he has got money, then Kartik can date her.

There were several reports making the rounds that Kartik and Sara might star in an Imtiaz Ali film. Now, the reports have been confirmed as per a tabloid and the film is indeed happening. A source revealed to the tabloid, "Kartik, Sara and Randeep Hooda have been doing readings for a while now and the film is ready to go on the floors. Unlike Imtiaz's previous two films—- Jab Harry Met Sejal and Tamasha, which were set in foreign locales, this one largely unravels in Punjab and Delhi."

When they quizzed Kartik on the same, he confirmed the news and said, "Yes, I am doing Imtiaz Sir next film- he is one of my favourite filmmakers and I have always wanted to work with him. I am glad it’s finally happening."

This film is touted to be an extension of Saif Ali Khan and Deepika Padukone starrer Love Aaj Kal. It was earlier reported that Saif might be a part of the film, but he denied the news.

Meanwhile, Kartik's latest outing Luka Chuppi hit the screens on Friday. The film stars Kriti Sanon as the female lead.
