'Kalank': Varun Dhawan all set to 'flirt with life and danger' as Zafar; check out his fierce first look

Abhishek Varman's upcoming directorial Kalank is one of the most awaited films of 2019. The film is set in the 1940s and has an ensemble cast of Madhuri Dixit, Sonakshi Sinha, Alia Bhatt, Varun Dhawan, Aditya Roy Kapur and Sanjay Dutt. The co-producer of Kalank, Karan Johar took to his Instagram page and shared a beautiful still from the film with a heartfelt note. The filmmaker promised the fans that he will unravel the film from Thursday.

As Karan promised, the filmmaker shared the first look of Varun from Kalank and the actor is seen in a fierce look. In the still, a kohl-eyed Varun is giving an intense look with angst. The actor reportedly plays the role of a blacksmith in the film and has beefed up for the role. KJo posted the first look with a caption, "Presenting @Varun_dvn as Zafar! While Varun tweeted, "It’s been a hell of a journey playing this gem of a character. So guys, meet Zafar! #MenOfKalank #Kalank"

Kalank is slated to release on April 19, 2019. The movie is the fourth outing of Alia and Varun together.
