After the current American President Joe Biden exited the US Presidential race and endorsed the United States of America Vice President Kamala Harris as the Democratic Party's nominee, the internet has dug out Kamala's past and made multiple memes on her. One of those memes talks about Kamala's past relationship with the Democratic Leader Willie Brown and reads, "Remember this scandal well!! CA State Speaker Willie Brown with "high-end" call girl Kamala Harris c. 1994."

Kangana Ranaut, who has become a Member of Parliament after winning the Mandi Lok Sabha seat in the 2024 general elections, shared this meme on her Instagram Stories and slammed its misogyntistic nature. She also stated that the "modern" Americans are more 'regressive" than Indians.

Along with sharing the meme, the actress wrote, "Since Biden has endorsed Harris for POTUS, SM (social media) is full of such memes. I don’t support Democrats but it’s amusing even in America an elderly woman politician who has been attorney general of California has to face sexism to this extend, honestly these Americans think they are so modern and all but they are so regressive worse than Indians to be honest. Shame."

Meanwhile, on the film front, Kangana will be seen next in the political drama Emergency. The multiple National Award-winning actress will be seen portraying former Prime Minister Indira Gandhi in the upcoming film. It also features Anupam Kher, Milind Soman, Shreyas Talpade, Mahima Chaudhry, and the late Satish Kaushik, among others.

Emergency was initially set to release on June 14 but was postponed due to the 2024 Lok Sabha elections. The political drama, which will now release in cinemas on September 6, also marks Kangana's solo directorial debut. She had previously co-directed the 2019 historical drama Manikarnika: The Queen of Jhansi with Krish Jagarlamudi.
