Luv Sinha posts 'reason' for not attending sister Sonakshi Sinha's wedding with Zaheer Iqbal, deletes it later

On Sunday, Luv Sinha finally confirmed that he didn't attend sister Sonakshi Sinha's wedding with Zaheer Iqbal. The actor had slammed the 'online campaign' against him for skipping the wedding festivities as he wrote on X, "Why I chose not to attend. Running an online campaign against me on a false premise won’t change the fact that for me my family will always come first."

On Monday, Luv shared an excerpt from a Telegraph India article hinting why he didn't attend the wedding. The excerpt read, "With carefully curated news stories about his family business, nobody tread grey areas like the groom’s father’s proximity to a politician whose ED enquiries had vanished in the ‘washing machine’. Nor was there a whiff of the groom’s father’s stint in Dubai."

He had further written, "The reasons are very clear as to why I didn’t attend, and would not associate with some people no matter what. I’m glad a member of the media did their research instead of relying on creative stories being put out by a PR team", implying that he didn't wish to get associated with Zaheer's father Iqbal Ratansi.

However, on Tuesday, Luv deleted that excerpt from his X feed and clarified that he hadn't said that quote. "The quote that is being incorrectly attributed to me is not my statement, and was written in an article by a senior journalist . The matter is now closed, and I will not be commenting on it any further", he wrote.

Sonakshi Sinha and Zaheer Iqbal tied the knot on June 23 in a civil marriage at the former's new apartment in Bandra West, Mumbai. The couple also held a lavish reception at the restaurant Bastian later in the night, which was attended by multiple Bollywood celebrities.
