One particular photo shared by Ananya Panday went instantly viral in which she showed off her wrist, adorned with a bracelet of Chhatarpur Wale Guruji. She captioned the photo saying, "Guru Purnima Shukrana Guruji". Not only Ananya Panday, but her parents Chunky Pandey and Bhavana Pandey are also followers of Guruji.
According to a report in the Financial Express, many celebrities including Hema Malini, Jacqueline Fernandez, Neetu Kapoor, and the late Rishi Kapoor are all followers of Guruji.
Who Was Nirmal Singh Maharaj aka Chattarpur Wale Guruji?
Guruji, also known as Chattarpur Wale Guruji or Shukrana Guruji, is believed as Lord Shiva's incarnation by his devotees. He was born as Nirmal Singhji Maharaj in July 1952, in Punjab's Dugri village, and, to this date, holds a powerful spiritual presence.
Chattarpur Wale Guruji, who holds a special place in many celebrities' hearts, held a double Master’s degree in English and Economics. Guruji enjoyed spending time with saints and sages and gained spiritual knowledge by being a disciple of many of them.
Guruji gave spiritual knowledge and guidance to people throughout his life. He urged his disciples to follow the path of love, kindness, and compassion and told people that all religions are the same and all people are children of God.
He used to move between Jalandhar, Chandigarh, Panchkula, Delhi, and Mumbai before finally settling in Jalandhar.
During the 1990s, he also built a Shiva temple in the Bhatti Mines area of Chhatarpur, known as Bada Mandir by his devotees. The Guruji’s samadhi is now located in the Mandir. He passed away in May 2007.
