Lakshya has successfully transitioned from television to movies. The actor starred in popular shows including Porus, Adhuri Kahaani Hamari, Pardes Mein Hai Mera Dil, and Pyaar Tune Kya Kiya. Currently, Lakshya is busy garnering accolades with his debut film Kill.

Karan Johar, Gunnet Monga's co-production is touted as 'India's most violent film', and is running successfully despite facing strong competition from Kalki 2898 AD, Indian 2, and Sarfira. Before Kill, Lakshya had two Dharma films, Dostana 2 and Bedhadak. However, both got shelved.

Dostana 2 was announced in 2019, starring Kartik Aaryan and Janhvi Kapoor with Lakshya Lalwani. Due to 'professional circumstances' Dharma shelved the film. In 2022, Bedhadak was announced with Lakshya and Shanaya Kapoor. However, even this rom-com was shelved.

After Kill, Lakshya is relieved that his Bollywood debut is getting appreciated. Recently in an interview, Lakshya reacted to the two setbacks he suffered at the start of his career. While speaking to Showsha, Lakshya revealed that his 'morale was going down' and 'under-confident'.

Lakshya said, “My first film didn’t work out for me. The second film also didn’t happen for me. Samajh nahi aa raha tha ki Bedhadak hogi ya nahi hogi. Somewhere, I was losing that confidence as an actor and human being. My morale was shaking and going down. It wasn’t like I had given up but I was constantly asking myself, what’s next?”

The Porus actor further said that he wouldn’t say that he was feeling under-confident because that’s a very strong word, but it really affected him 'deep down'. "I needed a film desperately. I needed work. I kept hearing that I’ll be making my film debut but it was just not happening. I didn’t know if things would pan out,” Lakshya added.

The actor said it took him seven years to make it to Dharma. "I learnt that you’ve to keep working hard, be patient, resilient and grounded. Yeh sab sirf bolne ki baatein nahi hoti hai. I took back the value of being hopeful,” Lakshya concluded.
