Pakistani actor Ali Zafar is in no mood to forgive Meesha Shafi, joins hands with wife Ayesha to EXPOSE her

On April 27 2019, Pakistani singer-actor Ali Zafar took to Twitter to announce that all sexual harassment charges leveled against him by singer Meesha Shafi have been dismissed by the Pakistan court.

Ali wrote: "Meesha Shafi’s case against me has been DISMISSED alongside the appeal made against the dismissal. The case in the court is my case against her to pay for the damages that her false statement has caused me, which naturally she is trying to run away from.

I have also filed a case against all the fake and other accounts being used to run a campaign against me on social media.

I have been quiet about all this for a year while thousands of disgusting tweets are posted against me like a campaign every time a big event comes, but it’s time to expose the truth via due process of law for which I urge FIA to take strict legal action and a prayer to our respected courts to decide the matter at earlier for which I would like everyone to join me in asking Miss Shafi to come to court.”

He posted his full statement on his Youtube channel: 

Ali Zafar may have been served justice but he seems to be in no mood to forgive the complainant. Now, he has started a trend on social media called #FaceTheCourtMeeshaShafi in a bid to expose the lady.

Ali's wife Ayesha Fazli also posted, "What me, my husband @AliZafarsays and my family have gone through at the hands of such criminal cruelty can never be explained in words. On Monday, the actor along with his wife Ayesha, claimed that a coordinated social media campaign was run against him through fake accounts while he was fighting the legal battle against Meesha. 

“She (Meesha Shafi) lied and then they (she and her team) skipped court proceedings. This (social media campaign) started when my manager received a threat on Instagram just after the first teaser of my movie (Teefa In Trouble) was released and the person said ‘just wait and watch what we do with Ali Zafar before the movie’s release’ then a number of fake accounts were created for a defamation campaign against me,” Ali Zafar told Pakistani news channel ARY in an interview.

The singer-cum-actor claimed that the most prominent among such accounts was one with the Neha Saigol title which was created 50 days prior to Meesha Shafi’s allegations. “The first followers of this account (Neha Saigol) were Meesha Shafi’s lawyers Nighat Dad and Meesha’s mother Saba Hamid,” claimed Ali Zafar.

The singer claimed that Nighat Dad, despite being a human rights and cyber crime activist, not only follows this account but also retweets it’s tweets. The actor has now vowed that he will expose them all. Earlier, Ali's wife Ayesha Fazli had told ARY News that the most difficult part of her family's one-year long ordeal was to prove Zafar's innocence to their eight-year-old son. 

For the uninitiated, in April 2018, singer Meesha Shafi, had claimed on Twitter that she had been subjected to sexual harassment "of a physical nature" by Ali on multiple occassions. She had used the hashtag #MeToo. The 'Dear Zindagi' actor has since been fighting an intense court battle.
