A source insists that Akshay and Salman, who mutually respect each other, met at Mehboob Studios two days ago to try and figure out a solution to their date clash.
Bollywood actors and makers have been aggressively marking out release dates for their films.
Take the recent example that has given the grapevine something to talk about. First, Rohit Shetty, Karan Johar and Akshay Kumar chose Eid 2020 for their super-cop caper Sooryavanshi.
After they did so, Salman Khan woke up to ‘claim’ his Eid date for Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Inshaallah. This made way for a clash, which until that point, wasn’t there.
Everyone knows there are 52 Fridays every year. However, festival dates are most sought after because they help boost the box-office numbers in a major way. Anyway, profits aside, Salman and Akshay don’t really wish to spoil relations or so it seems.
So now, all the biggies involved are busy trying to see how the clash can be averted.

Conjecture 1 is: Salman told Akshay that he’s been releasing most of his films in the last few years on Eid. So, he’s scheduled Inshaallah on Eid 2020. He suggested that Sooryavanshi be deferred by just a week.
Conjecture 2 is: Akshay reportedly said that they had just begun shooting their film and suggested Salman bring Inshaallah a week earlier.
Conjecture 3 is: As of now, the stalemate continues. We hear that there’s likely to be another round of discussions between filmmakers Sanjay Leela Bhansali and Rohit Shetty.
Fact is: Incidentally, this could be the second time both Akshay and Rohit will have a release along with a Bhansali directorial. Previously, Rohit’s Dilwale (2015) opened in cinemas on the same day as Bhansali’s Bajirao Mastani. And last year, Akshay moved his PadMan to February 9, leaving the Republic Day weekend open for the auteur filmmaker’s Padmaavat.
