Sharmila Tagore talks about her daughter-in-law Kareena Kapoor Khan's film Crew's box office success.
Veteran Bollywood actress Sharmila Tagore, who has been a part of the film industry for a decade now, in an interview talked about her daughter-in-law Kareena Kapoor Khan's film and appreciated the box office success of the film while calling it 'absurd beyond belief.'
In an interview with Kapil Sibal on his YouTube channel Dil Se Kapil Sibal, Sharmila called Crew an “entertaining” film. She said, “It is absurd, of course, beyond belief but there are three women are pulling off this adventure. One is landing a plane, one is breaking a safe, doing all kinds of things together and the camaraderie between the three is excellent because they say a woman is a woman’s worst enemy, not so here.”
She further added that Crew's commercial success will further pave the way for better films and roles for female actors and said, "Crew has done very well. Three women are doing all kinds of fantastic things and it has done well at the box office. This will encourage a lot of filmmakers to do women-centric films."
Helmed by Rajesh A Krishnan and written by Nidhi Mehra and Mehul Suri. Produced by Ekta Kapoor, Rhea Kapoor, Anil Kapoor, and Digvijay Purohit under Balaji Motion Pictures and Anil Kapoor Films & Communication Network, Crew is a heist comedy starring Kareena Kapoor Khan, Tabu, and Kriti Sanon along with Kapil Sharma and Diljit Dosanjh in key roles. The film was a huge box office success and collected Rs 157 crore worldwide at the box office.
Meanwhile, Kareena Kapoor Khan is now awaiting the release of her upcoming movie Singham Again. Helmed by Rohit Shetty, the film is the fifth film in Rohit's cop universe after Singham Singham Returns, Simmba, and Sooryavanshi. The film also stars Ajay Devgn, Deepika Padukone, Tiger Shroff, Ranveer Singh, Akshay Kumar, and Arjun Kapoor and is scheduled to release in theatres this Diwali.
