Shilpa Shetty’s family has seen some tough times in the past few weeks after her husband Raj Kundra’s arrest in the pornography racket case in July. The actress then went on a social media hiatus and also took time off from her show ‘Super Dancer 4’. But she has bounced back and has resumed her life.
The 10-day Ganesh Chathurthi celebrations will commence on September 10 and on Wednesday, Shilpa Shetty brought home the idol of Lord Ganesha with full ardour. Shilpa visited Mumbai’s Lalbaug Ganpati workshop to bring her Ganpati Bappa idol.
Photos from her outing went viral on social media. Shilpa could be seen in a printed salwar suit and paired her look with oversized pink-tinted sunglasses. The actress was in a festive mood and chanted "Ganpati Bappa Morya!" while taking Bappa to the car. She was surrounded by several fans who also chanted along with her.

Meanwhile, Shilpa Shetty has returned to ‘Super Dancer 4’ as a judge. Raj Kundra was arrest on July 19 and was named as the ‘key conspirator' in a pornography racket case. The actress has also become active on social media and has resumed sharing stories about yoga. After the whole debacle, Shilpa broke her silence with a long note on Instagram.
"Yes! The past few days have been challenging, on every front. There have been a lot of rumours and accusations. A lot of unwarranted aspersions on me cast by the media and (not so) well wishers as well. A lot of trolling/questions posed… not only to me but also to my family. MY STAND… I HAVE NOT COMMENTED YET and will continue to refrain from doing so on this case as it is subjudice, so please stop attributing false quotes on my behalf. Reiterating my philosophy of, as a celebrity “Never complain, never explain”. All I will say is, as it’s an on-going investigation, I have full faith in the Mumbai Police & the Indian judiciary. As a family, we are taking recourse to all our available legal remedies,” read her statement.
