A good comedy film always finds its audience. Moviegoers crave good slapstick, out-and-out laugh riot. However, there have been instances when the audience rejected a movie, a comedy entertainer with a top star cast. Filmgoers might disown a film even with promising actors. Today we will discuss such a movie, which had a huge star cast, and despite a promising line-up, the film was a mega box office disaster. However, despite its ill fate at the box office, the movie made a World Record in the prestigious Guinness World Records.

Bhavnao Ko Samjho (2010), directed by popular stand-up comedian, Sunil Pal, the film starred a promising ensemble cast, including Pal along with the nation's other top funnymen, such as Johnny Lever, late Raju Shrivastava, Kapil Sharma, Gurpreet Ghuggi, Ehsaan Qureshi, Sudesh Lehri and others.

Bhavnao Ko Samjho plot 

The comedy-drama revolves around the alcoholic son Sunderlal Yadav (Sunil Pal) trying to take over the entire estate of his deceased father Himmatram Yadav worth Rs.100 crores. Before dying, Himmatram wills everything to his grand-niece, Suman, with the condition that the estate will be owned by her future husband. Sunderlal plans to find a groom for Suman so that he can take over the property, and what follows forms the rest of the story. 

Box office collection of Bhavnao Ko Samjho 

Released in cinemas on January 15, 2010, the film opened with a dull response. The film had little to no pre-release buzz, and that affected the opening. Despite a promising star cast, the film became a box-office disaster. Made with a reported budget of Rs 1 crore, the film could barely earn Rs 3.20 lakhs in its lifetime.

Bhavnao Ko Samjho holds a Guinness World Record? 

Despite the disastrous fate at the box office, Sunil Pal holds a Guinness World Record for featuring 47 professional stand-up comedians in his directorial. As per the official site of the Guinness World Records, the film still holds the record for 'Most professional stand-up comedians in a feature film'.
