Bollywood, since the late 80s and 90s, had two actors who were famously known for being short-tempered. These two actors worked together in the 1995 film 'Hum Dono' and now one of the lead actors of the film has shared his experience of working with the other. We are talking about Nana Patekar and Rishi Kapoor. Nana Patekar, in a recent interview with Lallantop, revealed how difficult it was to get his co-star, the late Rishi Kapoor, to do more than one take. Nana Patekar also commented on how Rishi Kapoor often lost his cool while filming.

Let us tell you that the 1995 film 'Hum Dono', starring Nana Patekar and Rishi Kapoor, was directed by actor Shafi Inamdar. Rishi Kapoor made his debut with the film 'Bobby' which was a superhit.

Nana Patekar recalled an incident where Rishi Kapoor got irritated after being asked to give multiple takes. He said, "Gaali bohot deta tha woh (he would abuse a lot)." The actor continued, "He would get annoyed a lot. He would give only one take and not more and say, ‘We are extempore, not like you theatre guys, kya bakwaas baat karta hai, chal.'"

Nana Patekar also revealed how in the fifth take, Rishi Kapoor managed to get the shot right, but he was annoyed.

Nana Patekar said, "I once asked him to give another shot as the first one was terrible. He said, 'Who is the director here? Shafi or you? Hatao yaar isko (Someone remove him).' He gave the second take, which was also bad. I told him, ‘Chintu ye bakwaas hai’ (Chintu, this is bad), and he then started abusing me. Itni gandi gaaliyan! (Such filthy curses) By the fifth take he was like, ‘Now I will hit you!’ but that was the best take! That was the take that made it to the film. We spoke a lot after he went for his treatment."

For the unversed, Rishi Kapoor was diagnosed with leukemia in 2018 and died in 2020.
