Tiger 3 promotions to begin on this date with special 'Tiger ka message' from Salman Khan, trailer to release soon

The promotional campaign for YRF Spy Universe’s next chapter Tiger 3 is all set to begin. The film, starring Salman Khan in the titular role, is set to release this Diwali but fans have been eager as there is no word on the promotions yet. However, that is set to change this week itself. The film’s makers Yash Raj Films, have chosen September 27 – the birth anniversary of YRF’s founder Yash Chopra – as the day to kickstart the promotions of their biggest film to date.

As per sources, the promotions for Tiger 3 will begin with a special video called Tiger Ka Message, which will be unveiled by Aditya Chopra. The video, featuring Salman, will serve as a precursor to the trailer of Tiger 3.

A trade source tells us, “This video is a prelude to the trailer of Tiger 3. It will have Salman Khan as the agent Tiger deliver an important message. Salman is the OG of the YRF Spy Universe who played a very crucial role in shaping how big the franchise has become today and all eyes on Tiger 3 to reveal the next series of events from the YRF spy universe.”

Tiger 3 is among the most heavily-anticipated Bollywood films of the year. The film takes the story of the Spy Universe forward after the events of War and Pathaan and features Shah Rukh Khan in a cameo as Pathaan, teaming up with Salman’s Tiger yet again. The film also sees Katrina Kaif reprise her role from earlier Tiger films.

The source adds, “Expectations from Tiger 3 is sky high which releases this Diwali. This is the fifth film from the fabled YRF Spy Universe so audiences are, by now, heavily invested into how this franchise is shaping up. They are also massively clued into the life stories of the three super-spies from this universe! So, Tiger 3, which follows the events of Tiger Zinda Hai, War & Pathaan, is a relishing promise to see an edge of the seat action entertainer that people haven’t seen before on screen.”

While the YRF Spy Universe canonically began with Ek Tha Tiger (2012), it wasn’t until Pathaan, which released earlier this year, that YRF merged Tiger, War, and Pathaan together to form one coherent cinematic universe. It was in Pathaan that Aditya Chopra officially revealed that he was working on the YRF Spy Universe and unveiled the franchise logo. Tiger 3 is set to take that ahead. The film, directed by Maneesh Sharma, is set to release in theatres this Diwali.
