In a surprising turn of events, Reliance Jio has made an unexpected revision to one of its popular prepaid plans. What could be behind this sudden change? As it turns out, the telecom giant has listened to its customers and made a significant improvement to the Rs. 349 prepaid plan.

Recently, Jio clarified through Gadgets 360 that the Rs. 349 plan's validity has not changed. They maintain that their 28-day cycle counts as a monthly plan, and no new changes were made to the plan’s duration. However, recent updates indicate otherwise.

On Friday, Reliance Jio announced a revision to the Rs. 349 prepaid plan, just weeks after increasing prices for several of its daily, monthly, and annual plans. This change, driven by customer feedback, does not alter the daily data cap or the number of free SMS. With a 28-day validity period, the package offers customers greater value. Interestingly, Jio has renamed this plan Hero 5G.

In a post on X, Jio revealed that the Rs. 349 plan now offers a validity of 30 days, enhancing the total data from 56GB to 60GB without changing the daily 2GB data limit. Additionally, users in regions with Jio's True 5G service can enjoy unlimited 5G internet access with this plan.

Customer feedback was the main driver behind this revision, as stated by Jio. However, the company did not mention if other plans would also see similar changes in the future. Previously, the Rs. 349 plan was priced at Rs. 299.

Last month, Jio raised prices for several plans. The Rs. 209 plan offering 1GB per day increased to Rs. 249, the Rs. 666 plan with 1.5GB per day for 84 days rose to Rs. 799, and the annual Rs. 2,999 plan with 2.5GB per day went up to Rs. 3,599. Additionally, data add-on packs and postpaid plans saw price hikes, reflecting Jio’s broader pricing strategy.

With this latest revision, Jio continues to adapt its offerings, aiming to balance customer satisfaction and business growth.
