Starting August 1, several changes are set to impact consumers' wallets. Key updates include adjustments in LPG gas cylinder prices, revised Google Maps charges, and new rules for HDFC Bank credit card users.

Here are the major changes:

-Every month, the prices of LPG gas cylinders are revised. Last month, the cost of commercial cylinders was reduced, leading many to hope for another rate cut this month.

-Google Maps is making significant changes in India. From August 1, it will reduce service charges by up to 70% to attract more partners. Additionally, billing will switch from dollars to rupees. Regular users should not see any new charges, so everyday use remains unaffected.

-HDFC Bank is updating its credit card rules next month. Customers who pay rent through digital platforms like CRED, Cheq, MobiKwik, and Freecharge will now face a 1% transaction fee, capped at Rs 3,000 per transaction. Fuel purchases under Rs 15,000 will remain free of charge; however, transactions above this limit will incur a 1% fee, also capped at Rs 3,000.

-From August 1, HDFC Bank will impose a 1% fee on utility payments over Rs 50,000, with a maximum charge of Rs 3,000. This does not apply to insurance and direct school or college payments. The bank will also increase fees for delayed payments and Easy-EMI charges.

These changes aim to streamline services and introduce new fee structures, impacting how consumers manage their expenses.
