HDFC Bank said in a statement that its CSR program 'Parivartan' has been active for almost a decade and its various initiatives spread across 28 states and 8 union territories have impacted the lives of more than 10 crore people.

It is a good thing to do charity and good deeds. Along with the people, the big institutions of the country are also ahead in this work. A private sector bank of India spent Rs 945.31 crore in the financial year 2023-24 while fulfilling its social obligations. The bank spent this amount under Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR). The special thing is that this amount is about Rs 125 crore more than the financial year 2022-23. This bank, which spent Rs 945 crore on CSR in a year, is the largest in India with a market cap of more than Rs 1200000 crore. The name of this bank is HDFC Bank.

HDFC Bank said in a statement that its CSR program 'Parivartan' has been active for almost a decade and its various initiatives spread across 28 states and 8 union territories have impacted the lives of more than 10 crore people.

According to the annual report, various initiatives of ‘Parivartan’ have impacted nearly 10000 households, reaching 9000 villages. Out of the 112 districts identified in the Aspirational District Programme (ADP), 85 districts have been brought under this initiative.

Kaizad Bharucha, Deputy Managing Director, HDFC Bank said, “By focusing on key areas of rural development, education, skill enhancement, healthcare, financial literacy, and environment, we aim to support eco-friendly and inclusive growth in the communities where we operate."

Bharucha also looks after CSR and Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) functions among his other responsibilities.
