For those who look at numbers before they leap, here’s the good news according to number gurus: 2007 will be better than 2006.
Numerologists Sanjay Jumaani and Niraj Mancchanda predict good times, more or less
For those who look at numbers before they leap, here’s the good news: 2007 will be better than 2006. At least, that’s what the number gurus believe.
2006 was the year of number 8 (2+6), the year of Shani, or Saturn. This has not worked well for many individuals. Astrologer and numerologist Sanjay B Jumaani, best known for adding extra vowels and consonants in many a name, isn’t surprised. “Even celebrities like Sourav Ganguly, Salman Khan, Sanjay Dutt and Sibu Soren have not had a good year. That all their names start with S is another thing”, he says.
2007, on the other hand, is equal to nine (2+7=9), the number which represents Mars (mangal), an energetic planet. “Mars lends energies which could be compared to nuclear energy. Like nuclear energy, it can be both used as well misused”, says Jumaani. That’s something Niraj Mancchanda, another numerologist, would second. “Mars is the power of energy and a great warrior. Therefore, 2007 will be an extremely energetic year. The energies though could be both positive and negative.”
Number 9s are those born on the 9th, 18th or 27th of any month. Also, Scorpions and Arians are under the influence of Mars, or number 9. These people expected to do well in 2007.
On the business front, things look good for India Inc. Jumaani expect progress in fields such as power and energy (the nuclear deal with the US should work out well), engineering, iron and steel, construction, medicine and computers. Mancchanda expects construction, iron and steel and infrastructure sectors to do well.
The stockmarkets will continue to roar, though the climb up from now might be a little shaky. “As far as the equity market is concerned, the trading should be very energetic, but volatile. However, overall it should be progressive”, says Jumaani.
Mancchanda confirms the same. He sees the Sensex touching 17,046 on the upside and 10,000 on the lower side.
The bull run in real estate is not expected to slow down anytime soon. “Real estate prices could go up by nearly 25%, specially in places like Pune, which adds to number 6, or Mumbai, which adds to number 9”, says Jumaani.
Indian businessmen are expected to have a mixed year. “Mukesh Ambani, who was born on April 19, 1957, is an Arian, who is ruled by Mars, as all Arians are . His compound number 19+ 4 + 1957 = 36, which also adds up to 9. Hence he should have a very good year,” avers Jumaani. “This year will be extraordinary for Mukesh Ambani. All of his companies will do outstanding business and see unbelievable growth. The stock price of his companies will reach its peak. He is getting into retail business and that too will be a huge success, ” adds Mancchanda.
For younger brother Anil Ambani, things are not expected to be as smooth. “Born on June 4, 1959, Anil Ambani is a number 4 in numerology, and hence ruled by the unconventional and original planet Uranus. Number 4s are often misunderstood. Other than this, he is also Gemini, ruled by Mercury, the planet of communication. 2007 should be an average year for him. He should, however, look out for focusing on savings and avoid huge speculation and wait till 2008 for things of larger magnitude”, says a cautious Jumaani.
“Anil Ambani’s companies will do well, but there will be various problems for him this year. He needs to be careful about his enemies because they will try to hamper his business by using any method. His family life will be OK. And like last year he will once again have government-related problems issues” adds Mannchanda.
As for Ratan Tata, the Tata doyen, who was born on December 28, 1937, he is No 1 in numerology. “The number 1 represents the Sun, the creative force. The lucky numbers for Tata are 1, 2, 6 and 7. Other than this, he has just entered his 70th year. 70 implies number 7, which represents the planet Neptune, which is creative and unconventional, but a restless planet Tata should have a good year, if he does not let his restlessness takeover.”, says Jumaani.
“This will be a mixed year of highs and lows for Ratan Tata. The Singur issue will start getting solved from February onwards and things will finally fall into place the way he wants in August. The only company of his which will perform outstandingly this year will be Tata Steel,” adds Mancchanda on a different note
The king of telecom, Sunil Bharti Mittal, born in the year 1957, will be celebrating his fiftieth birthday this year. And things are expected to continue to go well for him.
And for the youngest of the lot, Kumar Mangalam Birla, born on June 14,1967, things do not look good for this year. “This is not a good year for Kumar Mangalam Birla. He will have major legal problems and various family disputes. Two major projects of his will go below expectations. The only saviour for his companies this year will be increasing real estate prices”, says Mancchanda.
